Poultry

 For treatment: 25-30 mg/kg body weight 

 For prevention: 12.5-15 mg/kg body weight

Indication Notes:

Treatment and prevention of Mycoplasmosis, CRD, CCRD, Sinusitis, Air Sacculitis and Pneumonia in poultry. It is also active against Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococci, Streptococci, Clostridium), Spirochaetes and E. coli infection.

Contraindication Notes:

 Should not be used with the ionophore anticoccidials e.g. Monensin, Salinomycin and Narasin 

 Tiamulin Hydrogen Fumarate is an antibiotic of pleuromutilin group. It acts against mycoplasma, gram positive bacteria and some gram negative bacteria. It binds with the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosome and interacts at the peptidal transferase center, in which it prevents the initiation of polypeptide chain formation, thus preventing the synthesis of key enzymes and other proteins. 

 enhanced synergistic effect with Tetracycline 

 Tiamulin is well tolerated for poultry at recommended dosage. However, reduction of water intake may be reported
