Dose and dosage
AVI IBD Plus vaccine must be administered by drinking water. Broilers should be vaccinated once or twice between the age of 14 and 18 days, depending on the level of maternally derived antibodies, allowing a six-day interval between administrations. Pullets should be vaccinated twice between the age of 16 and 26days, allowing a six-day interval between administrations. The exact date of vaccination can be determined by checking the maternal derived antibodies level.
Drinking water method :
Dissolve the vaccine in the water. The volume of the water depends on the age of the birds.
Age Min. 10 - 12 days - amount of water/1000 birds - 10 litres
13 - 18 days -15 litres
19 - 26 days - 25 - 30 litres.
To ensure a rapid intake of the vaccine solution, withhold water supply 30 - 90 minutes. Chlorine, fluorine, iron and other elements present in the drinking water can affect the virus content of the vaccine. For stabilization of the vaccine, neutralize the chlorine by dissolving 15 mg of sodium thiosulfate per litre of water. Always give one dose per bird.
- Infectious Bursal Disease(Gumboro)
For the active immunization of healthy chickens and other poultry against Infectious Bursal Disease (Gumboro).
N/A
This vaccine is not recommended for the chicks that are clinically sick or under conditions of severe stress. Sick or weak chickens will not develop adequate immunity following vaccination.
This vaccine is generally well tolerated.
Satisfactory protection can be achieved only in healthy chicken. Always round the number of doses same or up (e.g. 1000 doses for 1000 chicken), do not stretch the doses. All the chicken in the flock must be vaccinated at the same time. Administer the vaccine during the coolest time of the day. Dispose off all opened vaccine vials remaining after vaccination. Do not refreeze the reconstituted vaccine. Improper storage or handling of the vaccine may result in loss of potency and efficacy.
Protect from light, store at +2 ËšC to +8 ËšC and do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children. Diluent should be refrigerated before use.
